HYDERABAD: Suspended
BJP MLA
Raja Singh on Tuesday said that he would not contest the assembly elections if the party does not lift his suspension. Putting to rest any speculation on his next move, he said, "I am a loyal solider of the party. If the suspension is not lifted, I will not contest the polls. I have never caused any disgrace or harm to the party."
Raja Singh, whose old bulletproof vehicle was replaced with a new one on Monday, said that he has complete faith in BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay and that his suspension would be lifted.
So far there has been no word from the party high command after Raja Singh replied to the show-cause notice. The
MLA was suspended after a row over his remarks against Prophet Muhammed.
Meanwhile, authorities said on Tuesday that a case has been filed against Raja Singh for his speech in Maharashtra's Latur. Raja Singh had gone to Latur on February 19 where he addressed a public rally and spoke on issues such as 'love jihad and Hindu Rashtra.
