Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival

concluded on Sunday with a master class on theatre, television and film by Raman Kumar and his play ‘Hello Zindagi’ at

Taramati Baradari

auditorium.

The 14th edition of the festival presented eight plays before the audience of Hyderabad. Opening with a new production by the Qadir Ali Theatre Foundation, ‘My Father His

Exalted Highness

’, audiences witnessed the Argentinian play ‘74 Days of Autumn’ featuring Anahi Martella, experienced Manto’s life in ‘Ek Haan’ and revisited George Bernard Shaw’s 1936 play ‘The Millionairess in Miss Sekhsaria.’

Hello Zindagi, which was presented on the last day, revolved around the lives of five women and sent out a positive message to the audience that god has made life beautiful, but humans choose to complicate it. Featuring known faces such as Minissha Lamba, Delnaz Irani, Kishwer Merchant, Guddi Maruti and Chitrashi Rawat, the play is replete with sharp and witty dialogue. And keeping with this year’s theme of relationships, the accent of the play was on female friendship.
