TIRUPATI: Puthalapattu Telugu Desam party candidate Dr K Murali Mohan urged the BC communities to pledge support to the NDA alliance in the upcoming general elections.Addressing "Jaya Ho BC" meetings at Puthalapattu in Chittoor district on Thursday, Dr Murali Mohan recalled that the BC communities emerged as a major force in the political landscape of the state only after the formation of the Telugu Desam party in 1982."The TDP has allocated a lion's share in MLAs and MP seats in numerous elections in the past and continues to do so as the BC communities form the very back bone of the party for several decades now", the Puthalapattu TDP candidate observed."The ruling YSRCP has completely neglected the BC communities and has done nothing notable for their welfare in the last five years. If the BCs want to get their self esteem restored, they should once again pledge their complete support for the TDP and help the party in coming back to power in the state in the ensuing general elections", Dr Murali Mohan urged the voters.
