HYDERABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday said public anger was rising against the Congress govt. Addressing party workers at
Telangana Bhavan as several Congress councillors from Medak joined the BRS,
KTR said, "People are no longer willing to tolerate empty promises and daily insults."
He accused chief minister Revanth Reddy of betraying every section of society. "It's time to hold him accountable in the upcoming local body polls," he said. KTR alleged that the CM failed farmers by capping the crop loan waiver. "Though he promised Rs 50,000 crore, only Rs 12,000 crore has been disbursed. Under Rythu Bandhu, Rs 15,000 per acre for two crops was promised, but farmers got just Rs 12,000 per acre and that too for a few seasons," he said. "All your promises have now been exposed. Social media outrage is unlike anything seen against any CM of undivided Andhra Pradesh or Telangana," he added. tnn
