HYDERABAD: A protest was held at a private school in Malakpet on Wednesday after the administration did not allow a student inside the classroom as he was wearing the attire of Ayyappa devotees.
"I was asked to remove the attire to attend the classes or leave,'' said the student.
Some devotees took exception and sought the government intervention and ensure that the devotees be allowed in all schools with the attire and without discrimination.
Meanwhile, the school maintained that the issue has been resolved and refrained from commenting further.
