HYDERABAD: Thirty police personnel, including an additional director-general rank officer from
Telangana and two officers from AP, were awarded President’s medals by the Union ministry of home affairs (MHA) on Saturday.
MHA, on the eve of the 71st Republic Day, said AP director-general (Vigilance & Enforcement) KV Rajendranath Reddy, Telangana Addl DG (Personnel) B Shivadhar Reddy and AP assistant commissioner of police (West Division) K Sudhakar were awarded President’s Police Medal (PPM).
Twelve policemen from Telangana and 15 personnel from AP were awarded the Indian Police Medal. From Telangana, IPM were awarded to former director enforcement (Prohibition & Excise) Akun Sabharwal, who is now on central deputation, TS Special Police commandant R Venu Gopal, additional deputy commissioner of police (Special Branch) Iqbal Siddiqui, additional commandant P Satyanarayana,
Nizamabad
assistant commissioner of police D Pratap, Khammam assistant commissioner of police G Venkata Rao, Nalgonda deputy superintendent of police S Jayaram, Rangareddy district reserve inspector S Ravindranath, Warangal assistant sub-inspector K Sudhakar, assistant SI, Police Academy, N Nagalakshmi, Rangareddy district assistant sub-inspector R Anthi Reddy and senior commando D Ramesh Babu.
Similarly from AP, medals were awarded for Vijayawada ASP A Joshi, APSP additional commandant CVA Rama Krishna, CID deputy superintendent of police M Bhaskar Rao, Greyhounds commander G Vijay Kumar, Vijayawada inspector John Moses, Nellore sub-inspector NG Sankarudu, assistant sub-inspector P Victoria Rani, Chittoor assistant sub-inspector KN Kesavan, Anantapur SI S Ramachandraiah, head constable Y Chandrasekhar, head constable P Vijaya Bhaskar, and head constable N Rama Krishna Raju.
