Several politicians converged at the Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam crematorium in the city on Tuesday to stand in solidarity with the family of Srinivas Kuchibhotla and condemn the alleged hate crime that left him dead and Alok Madasani injured.

HYDERABAD: Several politicians converged at the Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam crematorium in the city on Tuesday to stand in solidarity with the family of Srinivas Kuchibhotla and condemn the alleged hate crime that left him dead and Alok Madasani injured.
They raised slogans against US President Donald Trump and demanded justice for the family. Cries of 'Trump Down Down', 'Srinivas Kuchibhotla Amar Rahe', 'Johar Srinivas', and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' reverberated through the crematorium.

But as soon as the pyre was lit, a silence descended on the gathering .
Over three hours later, the family left from the crematorium to return home - this time with one member of the family missing.
