Telangana Police conducted a raid at a beauty salon in Kondapur, rescuing four women forced into prostitution and arresting three customers and one organizer, Satyanarayana. In a separate incident, Kachiguda Police dismantled a human trafficking operation, recovering a kidnapped two-month-old infant and arresting key suspects, with one still at large.

NEW DELHI: In a crackdown on human trafficking, the Telangana Police, along with the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), conducted a raid on a Beauty Salon and Spa under Gachibowli Police station limits of Kondapur in Telangana on Wednesday night, Inspector of Gachibowli Police Station said.During the operation, authorities successfully rescued four women who were reportedly victims of forced prostitution.The Inspector stated, "Last night, we conducted a raid, along with Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) officials, at Stylish Beauty Salon and Spa in Kondapur. We rescued four victim girls and took three customers and one organizer, Satyanarayana, into custody."In a separate case, Kachiguda Police dismantled a human trafficking operation and recovered a two-month-old infant who was kidnapped from a shopping centre on February 11.The authorities apprehended the main suspect, Boga Narsing Raj, within five hours and retrieved the infant from a woman's residence who had allegedly bought the child.The incident occurred at D-Mart, Kachiguda on February 10, when the suspect accompanied the complainant and her baby whilst shopping. The mother temporarily entrusted her child to the accused while selecting clothes, after which the suspect departed in a hired auto.
Following the report, authorities established two special teams under SI D Subhash and P Ravi Kumar, who utilised CCTV footage to locate the suspect.The authorities captured the primary suspect Boga Narsing Raj in Gowliguda, Hyderabad, and recovered the infant from Sandhya Rani's residence, who had allegedly purchased the child. The infant was returned to his birth mother, Shervatti Varalaxmi. Kachiguda Police filed charges under section 137(2), 80 & 81 of the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015.The authorities confirmed two arrests: Boga Narsing Raj, 46, an X-ray Technician at Nikhil Hospital, and Raghavender, 48, a Government Employee. The third suspect, N. Umavathi, 55, remains at large.
