Not stopping at this, Seetharamaraju's nephew G V Satyanarayana Raju even launched an indefinite hunger strike at the collectorate in Visakhapatnam on Sunday demanding that the government name the district as Alluri Seetharamaraju district.
Satyanarayana Raju and Alluri Yuvajana Sangham president Padala Veerabhadra Rao sat on an indefinite strike demanding that the government organize Seetharamaraju's birth and death anniversaries officially. Satyanarayana Raju said that 'manyam dora' Alluri Raju belonged to Visakhapatnam district and died while fighting for the freedom of the nation against the British. Raju said he would continue the hunger strike till the government renamed the district.
