HYDERABAD: The High Court on Tuesday dismissed a public interest petition seeking a ban on strikes and rallies in the city for failing to fulful its instructions.
The bench, comprising chief justice Devender Gupta and justice M Narayana Reddy, said petitioner V Sai Prasad Sarma failed to comply with its earlier directive to implead all registered trade unions and political parties in the petition.
The petitioner, an assistant commissioner of income tax from Karimnagar, had sought a court directive to the director-general of police not to give permission for rallies and bandhs in the city.
