Torrential downpours battered numerous regions across Telangana, resulting in extensive waterlogging in areas situated at lower elevations and throwing normal routines into disarray. The unrelenting rains caused lakes, tanks, and streams to swell beyond their capacity, effectively isolating many villages. The deluge also wreaked havoc on the railway infrastructure, with tracks sustaining significant damage, forcing the cancellation of several trains.

A 50-year-old daily laborer was swept away by the stream while trying to cross a flooded culvert. Fortunately, he was saved by policemen and local youths who pulled him to safety.

Without wasting time, the two policemen reach the middle of the culvert. Local youths use an SUV to assist the cops in rescuing the man, who was shouting for help



The youths use the SUV to block the flow of water. The cops and one of the youths form a chain to reach out to the man, and pull him to safety



Police said the man, a 50-year-old daily labourer, was swept away in the stream while trying to cross the flooded culvert. Luckily, he managed to hold on to a shrub
