Hyderabad: Asserting that K Chandrasekhar Rao will score a hat-trick of wins and be sworn in as chief minister of
Telangana once again, municipal administration and IT minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday said people do not want to lose a performing government and chief minister.
He said KCR would create history by becoming the first south Indian CM to come to power for the third time in a row after winning the forthcoming assembly elections.
“I believe in the five-year term of government. Parties should think about politics for six months and the rest four-and-a-half years need to be focused on development and welfare of the state. BRS has been doing the same. On the other hand, the opposition parties have been doing politics on every issue every single day. Some leaders are criticising KCR without even taking note of his age, stature and experience,”
KTR said while addressing a meeting at Hasthinapuram in LB Nagar.
The minister handed over land regularisation documents to people whose buildings and lands were regularised under GO 118 a few months ago. About 18,000 people were benefited by the regularisation scheme.
KTR announced that the government would allocate and distribute one lakh BHK houses to the people before October. “The distribution of 2BHK houses will begin from August 15 and be completed by October. Every assembly constituency will get 4,000 2BHK houses and another 3,000 beneficiaries will get financial assistance to housing under Griha Lakshmi scheme,” the minister said.
Apart from welfare schemes for various sections of the society, the government is developing Hyderabad on all fronts to serve for next 50 to 100 years, he said. Durgam Cheruvu bridge has become a shooting spot and another 14 bridges would also be completed soon, he said.
“Planning for metro rail for 415 km in various corridors and also along the Outer Ring Road is one of KCR’s many visions. No one believed KCR’s word that he would develop the state and Hyderabad. With vision and commitment, Telangana got the biggest lift irrigation project, providing drinking water to every household under Mission Bhagiratha and achieved progress in all sectors.”
