HYDERABAD: Internationally renowned Islamic scholar Dr Israr Ahmed from Pakistan will be on a six-day visit to the city on December 16, to spread the message of peace and brotherhood. During his stay in the city, he will deliver religious sermons at Hockey Grounds, Masab Tank till December 20 from 7 pm to 10 pm. Dr Ahmed will address a meeting at Ramakrishna mutt and will also meet noted non-Muslim intellectuals.
For the convenience of the people a holy congregation will be held at Idgah Balamrai, Sappers Line, Secunderabad on December 21 from 7 pm to 10 pm. Invited by the Centre for Peace and True Message (CPTM), Dr Israr Ahmed is known for his scientific revelation of the Holy Quran and his recorded sermons in cassettes in various languages of the world.
He was born in 1932 in Hissar district, Haryana, India and migrated to Pakistan after Partition.
This would be Dr Israr''s third visit to the city and people still recall him with fondness, as his lectures have left a deep impact on their minds, said CPTM convenor Mohd Jafer. Such visits by intellectuals can strengthen Indo-Pak relationship in the true spirit, he said.
The CPTM reception committee members include Dr Hasnuddin Ahmed, Abdul Raheem Qureshi, Zahid Ali Khan, Khan Latif Mohd Khan and others.
