Officer in ‘Bullet Bandi’ video lands in ACB net

Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths have trapped Badangpet Municipal Corporation town planning supervisor Akula Ashok and his associate when they accepted 30,000 alleged bribe from the complainant to do an official favour.
Ashok’s marriage procession video of a dance performance on ‘Bullet Bandi’ song became a hit on social media some months ago.
At 4pm on Tuesday, sleuths caught Ashok when he took 30,000 alleged bribe from the complainant, A Devender Reddy, through A Srinivasa Raju, a private architect. Raju runs his office opposite Badangpet municipal office and the bribe amount was recovered from Raju’s office table draw. Fingers of both his hands tested positive when subjected to a chemical test.
ACB officials said Ashok demanded the bribe to accord house construction permission pertaining to two plots.
