Heera Gold investment fraud accused Nowhera Shaikh held in Faridabad

HYDERABAD: Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths have executed pending non-bailable warrants (NBWs) in the Heera Gold investment fraud cases against Nowhera Shaikh in Faridabad, Haryana, on Tuesday. She is being brought back to the city to produce before a local court.

According to police, three NBWs have been pending against Nowhera Sheikh for the past several months in separate cases registered at CCS in 2018.

In Oct 2024, the Supreme Court had cancelled the bail of Nowhera and subsequently NBWs were issued against her as she failed to surrender before the local court. CCS team kept a watch on the movements of the accused in the country and on Tuesday, they located her while she was travelling in Haryana. "We have intercepted her in Surajkund area of Faridabad and executed the NBWs. She is being brought to Hyderabad to produce before the local court," deputy commissioner of police (DCP) CCS N Swetha said.
