Now, Chakri’s mother claims he was poisoned

HYDERABAD: A day after police booked a case against Chakri’s mother and eight others for allegedly harassing his widow Sravani, the family has filed a counter complaint with Jubilee Hills police alleging that the music director was poisoned to death by his wife and her family members.
Chakri’s mother Vidyavati lodged a complaint with police on Sunday alleging that Chakri’s wife Sravani and her parents Madhusudhan Rao and Aruna, had poisoned him to death.Vidyavati further alleged that a few days after Chakri’s death, his wife called her up and confessed that she had killed Chakri. Vidyavati also said that it was Sravani who convinced them not to ask for a post-mortem examination after Chakri’s death on December 15, 2014.
“We have made a general diary (GD) entry of the complaint and it will be forwarded to the court for legal opinion,” Jubilee Hills inspector S Venkat Reddy said.
