North Zone win BCCI women’s tournament

Hyderabad: North defeated Central Zone by nine wickets to win the BCCI senior women’s Inter-zonal one-day tournament at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Tuesday.
Brief scores: Central Zone 123 in 42 overs (Swagatika Rath 20; Simran Dil Bahadur 2/13, Parunika Sisodia 3/14, Priya Mishra 3/29) lost to North Zone 124/1 in 33.3 overs (Neena M Chaudhary 53no, Taniya Sapna Bhatia 42no).
Ladakh’s Guinness record: Ladakh successfully conducted its maiden 21-km trail running event in sub-zero temperature at 13,862 feet high Pangong Tso, which was registered in Guinness world record as the world’s highest frozen lake half marathon.
