Nawab Shah Alam Khan, chairman of Anwarul Uloom Educational Society passes away

HYDERABAD: Nawab Shah Alam Khan (96), chairman of Hyderabad Deccan Cigarette Factory passed away on Monday. He was also the chairman of

Anwarul Uloom Educational Society

and many more educational societies.

Nawab Shah Alam Khan was born in a Jagirdar family in 1921. He was also the chairman of Anwarul Uloom Educational Society and an engineering college was named after him. He was the one who converted a small educational institute into a society under which several institutions have run.

Nawab also officiated as chairman of

Andhra Pradesh Minority Finance Corporation

, member of the Board of Management and Academic senate of Osmania University and Member of Academic Council of Aligarh Muslim University.

He is survived by seven sons. According to family members his Namaz-e-Janaza will be performed at Masjid-e-Salima Khatoon, Himayath Nagar after Namaz-e-Asar prayers on Monday.
