HYDERABAD: More than 25 Urdu poets from all over the country will participate in the All India Mushaira being organised by the AP Urdu Academy on the occasion of the Independence Day at Ravindra Bharathi here on Wednesday.

the mushaira is being organised as part of independence day celebrations and will be telecast live in 52 countries by etv's urdu channel, which is also being launched on wednesday, he said. the local poets, khaja shouq, dr ali ahmed jaleeli, muztar majaz, agha sarosh, dr aqueel hashmi, aliuddin naveed, ghias mateen, saleem abidi, salahuddin nayyar, surayya meher, hassan farrukh and saqib banarasi will read their kalaam in the mushaira. besides them, renowned poets, prof jagannath azad (jammu & kashmir), zubai rizvi, sajay mishra shouk and nawaz devbandi of delhi, mumtaz rashid, ifteqar imam, khaisar jafi and hasan kamal of mumbai, vali yaseen and kishan bihari noor of lucknow, kaavish badri of chennai, muheb kauser of gulbarga and manzar bhopali will also participate in the mushaira. quadri said the academy would felicitate eenadu group chairman ch ramoji rao on the occasion for starting an urdu channel. chief minister n chandrababu naidu will be the chief guest for the mushaira, which will start at 8 pm.
