Name new road after Akkineni Nageswara Rao: Danam Nagender

HYDERABAD: Labour minister Danam Nagender has asked the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation standing committee to name the Annapurna Studio road after Akkineni Nageswara Rao and also install his statue at Film Nagar. The minister on Thursday laid the foundation stone for a road from Banjara Hills Road No.2 to Jubilee Hills Road No. 5 (Krishna Nagar Junction) via Annapurna Studio at an estimated cost of Rs.7.2 crore. He said the link road would reduce traffic on Jubilee Hills-Srinagar Colony stretch.tnn
Speaking to the media, the minister thanked the mayor and commissioner for giving nod for the road and said that as this road was right in front of Annapurna Studio, it should be named Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao Marg.
