Nalgonda murder victim was throttled, fed cyanide: Police
Hyderabad: Nalgonda police arrested six persons on Saturday for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 51-year-old man last month. Police said that Samudrala Krishna had died after being throttled and fed cyanide. The accused N Madhu, K Srinivas, Y Krishna Chaitanya, S Manikanta, A Hari Kiran, Mohammed Usman and Shaikh Basha were held.The victim is the brother-in-law of prime accused Madhu. The latter invested lakhs of rupees in rice pooling after Krishna was assured that it will help him earn profits. But Madhu lost the money. However, when Madhu had asked Krishna to support him financially the victim allegedly did not support. Madhu who then bore grudge against Krishna, then planned to over come his financial problems by laying his hands over Krishna’s wealth. He roped in other accused and they conspired to kill him. On May 16, all the accused went to the victim’s residence in the pretext of discussing about a business proposal. The victim was throttled and fed cyanide. After Krishna died, the accused took his valuables, 7 tolas gold, half kg silver, 45,000 cash and other valuables. They also damaged the CCTV before leaving the house in a bid to erase evidence. Later, the accused disposed Krishna’s body at Kanagal bridge.
