Naidu's threat to girl's dad

NIZAMPET (Medak): At ‘Chaduvula Panduga’ launched here on Monday a girl, Jaya Lakshmi, walked up to the chief minister and complained that her father was not sending her to school. “Shall I send your father to jail?� Chandrababu Naidu asked her, while directing the district collector to send the girl to a residential school.
During his speech at the inaugural he stressed on the importance of eradicating child labour and ensuring that the children stay in schools.Naidu, who claimed that the TDP was striving for equal status for women, was speechless when a girl, Sravanti, asked him: “Sir, where is the equal status for women, which you are speaking about?.�
