HYDERABAD: Residuary Andhra Pradesh chief minister-elect Chandrababu Naidu has almost finalised his team. 1979 batch IAS officer IV Subba Rao will be the chief secretary provided he is relieved by his present employer Unicef before June 2. Subba Rao has informed Naidu that he has already applied for his return to the state.
Present Director General of Police B Prasada Rao will be the DGP of AP.

He will be assisted by a new intelligence chief for which the name of M Malakondaiah is under consideration. The additional DG-rank officer is presently working in the AP Police Academy.
1984 batch IAS officer Ajay Prakash Sawhney will be the principal secretary to the chief minister in Naidu's CMO. He will be assisted by two senior officers who are presently on central deputation. They are Aramane Giridhar and G Sai Prasad. Both of them have already put in their request to return to the state. Another officer at the level of deputy secretary in the CMO will be finalised from fresh candidates who have a proven track record. The names of Muthyala Raju and A Sridhar are in consideration for these two posts.
Former chief secretary SV Prasad is set to be the advisor to Naidu and will be accorded cabinet status. A team of other retired officers including P Krishnaiah and S Balasubramanyam are to be part of a team that will look after issues related to governance. Indian Information Service officer A A Rao, who earlier acted as Naidu's OSD in Delhi, is tipped to be the press secretary.
