Naidu plans get-together for TDP leaders

hyderabad: chief minister n chandrababu naidu has planned a get-together for the tdp legislators, ministers, members of parliament and select party functionaries along with their families on march 31 at shilparamam in hyderabad. naidu’s wife n bhuvaneshwari will also attend the get-together and probably this will be her first brush with the tdp leaders.she had not attended any party events so far except the ceremonies related to the late n t rama rao. naidu has decided upon this novel exercise to promote a sense of oneness and understanding among the family members of the party leaders. initially, naidu wanted to organise the programme at the ntr trust bhavan here but some party leaders have advised him to shift the venue to shilparamam. about 800-1000 people are expected to attend the get-together. film director and electronic media adviser to the state government, k raghavendra rao, is preparing some programmes to entertain the guests. according to sources, a mimicry programme and some cultural events will be organised under the supervision of musician vandemataram srinivas. meanwhile, the tdp is planning to present awards to the legislators for their performance in the assembly.a committee has been constituted by naidu to identify the legislators whose performance was ‘good’ in the on-going budget session. the tdp sources told the times of india, that eight legislators would be identified for their attendance in the house and five for suitable interventions in the debates. four more legislators will be identified for second prizes. in all 21 prizes would be given to the legislators, the sources said.
