No one guilty until proven by court of law, says Pawan Kalyan’s brother Naga Babu
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister K Pawan Kalyan's elder brother, Jana Sena Party general secretary and actor Naga Babu on Thursday made interesting comments in connection with the Jani Master sexual harassment case, saying that a person is innocent until proven guilty.Without either taking Master's name or referring to the case against the top choreographer, Naga Babu said in a post on X quoting famous English judge Sir William Garrow's straight phrase, "No person can be considered guilty of a crime until he or she has been found guilty of that crime by a court of law." In another post, quoting Robert Evans, top American film producer, he said: "Don't believe everything you hear. There are three sides to every story: Your side, my side, and the truth."Master, who joined Jana Sena and even campaigned for the party in the assembly elections, has been told to stay away from all party activities till he clears his name in the sexual harassment case.Interestingly, Naga Babu switched off the ‘comments' for the two posts as it was clear he did not want any opinion to be expressed on them.Naga Babu also put out the same posts on Facebook and switching off the comments there. But the reaction emojis from the public showed what they thought of his comments. For his quote of Robert Evans which he shared, there were more than 1,100 reactions, including 850 showing a thumbs up sign and more than 100 laughter emojis. Another 100 reacted with ‘love' symbol."Naga Babu limited who can comment on the post," a notification by Facebook said. For Sir Garrow's quote which Naga Babu shared, there were varied reactions. Out of the 400 reactions, 350 approved of the comment and the rest either loved it, laughed at it, while some were angry and concerned.
