RAJAHMUNDRY: K Kameswara Rao (50) was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a well in Katheru village on Thursday.
Villagers said that the deceased may have been forced to commit suicide or may have been killed as he was suspected to be sorcerer.
According to some villagers, B V Satyanarayana alias Sattibabu reportedly took the deceased out at about 11 pm on Tuesday.

They were seen walking along the Godavari bund in the middle of the night. The well where the deceased was found was located at the heart of the village.
Villagers said that Sattibabu and others had reportedly enquired with the deceased about the location where he allegedly used to practice occult activities.
According to the wife of the deceased K L Achitamba, she was informed by her brother at about 2.30 am on Thursday that a few persons had come to the house of the deceased''s uncle and informed that some villagers wanted to kill Kameswara Rao as he was reportedly practising sorcery.

She said, "I reached my brother''s house within five minutes but found my husband missing. It was about 5 am in the morning that my husband was found dead in the well located at the centre of the village."
Three Town sub-inspector Ramana said that three persons were questioned in connection with the incident.
Further investigations were on, he said.
