Mother-son duo killed as SUV hits their bike

Hyderabad: A 19-year-old mason and his 38-year-old mother died on the spot when the bike they were riding was hit by a SUV at Chilamarri village in Pedda Adisherlapally mandal in Nalgonda on Wednesday. Police said the mason was not wearing a helmet.
The deceased have been identified as Gunji Ganesh and Gunji Venkayamma, a labourer from Devarakonda. The accident occurred at 6.30am when the duo was riding to native place of Koppolu in AP’s Prakasam.Due to head-on collision, the bike caught fire. The SUV was coming in the opposite direction. The SUV driver fled and was apprehended later by police. A case was registered against SUV driver. tnn
