Man on phone while crossing railway track dies

Hyderabad: Speaking on a mobile phone and crossing railway tracks cost a man his life. A 55-year-old man identified as Syed Moinuddin died after being hit by a passenger train near Bharat Nagar railway station on Monday night. Hyderabad Railway police registered a case and are investigating.

According to police, Moinuddin, a resident of Serilingampally, worked as a welder. On Monday night around 8.30pm, he was crossing the railway tracks while speaking on his mobile phone when a passenger train coming towards Hyderabad hit him. He received multiple injuries and died on the spot.

Police identified him using the documents found in his pockets and alerted his family. Police suspect that he was on the way home at the time of the incident.
