Med council files cases against 14 quacks

Hyderabad: Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) on Friday registered cases against 14 rural medical practitioners (RMPs), commonly referred to as quacks.Officials said of the 14 cases, 2 were registered in Achampet and Nagarkurnool and 12 were registered in Miyapur, Meerpet, Jeedimetla, and KPHB police stations.According to officials, the quacks booked in Hyderabad were identified as P Aravinda, M Kavitha, A Ramesh, Abdul Waheed, S Rama Kiran, P Ravindran, Bhikshapati Goud, BS Rao, Saini Lakshmi Babu, R Navakanth, M Ramesh, and K Mahesh. In Achampet, cases were registered against U Lingachari and M Narender.Over the past year, TGMC registered at least 420 cases against unlicensed medical practitioners.
