Mayor for action against officials

HYDERABAD: Mayor Mohd Majid Hussain has directed GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar to initiate action against officers who failed to redress grievances.
After receiving 39 grievances during 'Face-to-Face' programme on Saturday, the mayor opined that a grievance like missing manhole cover was not redressed by a field-level officer. He further directed zonal commissioners and deputy commissioners to attend and dispose of the grievances at their level itself.
"If the problems are solved by zonal and circle-level officers, people need not come to the head office seeking redressal of their grievances," he added.
