Marriage halls cautioned

HYDERABAD: Principal secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Sam Bob cautioned marriage halls against flouting fire safety norms. He instructed GVMC to ensure that marriage halls complied with fire safety norms and also provided parking facilities.
He said 94 marriage halls had flouted fire safety norms. He also took GVMC officials to task for the pathetic condition of roads and unsanitary conditions.
During a review meeting here on Saturday, he ordered GVMC to ensure supply of running water in toilets of municipal schools as per the order of the Supreme Court. GVMC commissioner M V Satyanarayana and VUDA vice-chairman Kona Sasidhar were present.
