Telangana: Man drives tractor over father-in-law

HYDERABAD: A man was mowed down by his son-in-law who drove a tractor over him following a property dispute at Venkateswarulapalli village in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district.
The accused, N Ramesh (25), a farmer, has been arrested, according to sources. The victim, B Odelu (58), was a pump operator at a coal mine of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
“He was trying to get his son a job with SCCL, but Ramesh wanted the same job in lieu of the unfulfilled promise of two acres of agricultural land at the time of the wedding,” the Ghanpur SI M Abhinav said. But as Odelu refused to concede to the request, Ramesh hatched a plan to kill him, cops said. Police reportedly took him into custody on Monday night.
