Main Yadadri temple to open in February

HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said that the renovated main

temple

premises at Yadadri will be inaugurated in February next year. He invited Sri Thridanda Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for the inauguration ceremony. He said a Maha Sudharshana Yagnam will also be performed at Yadadri.


KCR visited the

ashram

of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy on the occasion of Thirunaksharam Mahotsavam along with his wife Shobha and other family members.

He said that a few years ago he had attended a function at

Ravindra Bharathi

where many speakers, including former DGP Aravind Rao had said Hindu religion was facing a threat. “That thought should not be entertained. Hindu religion and its culture is deep-rooted. If at all such a threat is indeed felt, someone like Chinna Jeeyar Swamy would prepare many devotees,” he said. “Temples should not be seen only as places of worship but in reality, they are community centres,” he said. tnn
