HYDERABAD: Telangana BJP president K Laxman suffered a minor injury above his right eye in a scuffle with police on Saturday during a demonstration in support of TSRTC workers’ strike.
Laxman was taken to Narayanguda police station and then admitted to NIMS at Panjagutta. Laxman, who later spoke to reporters, said the protests against the government will be intensified.

Earlier, BJP workers took out a procession from Bagh Lingampally and reached Bus Bhavan, the headquarters of TSRTC, and raised slogans against the government. Following the rally, vehicular movement was affected.
BJP chief spokesperson, Telangana, K Krishna Saagar Rao alleged high handedness by Telangana police and use of “brute force on a peaceful and democratic protest”.
The Congress also demonstrated in front of Bus Bhavan. Congress leader Anil Kumar Yadav who was also arrested by the police said the police had used force to arrest him.
