hyderabad: violin maestro lalgudi jayaraman will be felicitated at the 42nd annual festival of music and dance being organised by the south indian cultural association at ravindra bharati on march 11 here. top artistes will participate at the seven-day festival which will conclude on march 18.the festival would begin with a violin trio concert by lalgudi g jayaraman, his son g j r krishnan and daughter vijayalakshmi.
it will be followed by shiva leela a kuchipudi dance recital by raja reddy, radha reddy and kausalya on march 12. the carnatic vocal recitals of the next three dyas will be presented by t m krishna, t v sankara narayan and s sowmya. on march 17, srinidhi chidam baram will render a bharata natyam recital, and the programme will conclude with a grand hindu stani and carnatic jugalbandi by anooradha sriram and sriram parasuram. season tickets will be priced at rs 300, rs 200, and rs 100. daily tickets also will be available, priced at rs 50, rs 25 and rs 15, according to the association secretary r chakrapani.
