Labourer files plaint as cabbie misbehaves

Hyderabad: A labourer lodged a complaint with Madhura Nagar police claiming that a cab driver had misbehaved with her on Thursday.
Police said the 30-year-old woman approached them and lodged a complaint. At 1 pm, she was at a toddy compound where she consumed toddy.
At around 4 pm, she left the place and ran into the suspect on the road. Some time later, he came in a car and parked it at some distance away.
“Later, she boarded the car. She claims that it was then the driver misbehaved with her by touching her inappropriately. She got down from the car and he left,” Madura Nagar inspector B Srinivas told TOI.
Police said they are trying to trace the suspect. A case was registered under section 354-A (sexual harassment) of IPC.
The police said the woman’s husband deserted her. They have a son.
