A 23-year-old woman accidentally fell into the
water tank
of an apartment and drowned in
Kukatpally
area on Sunday.
The deceased, Y A Safiya, daughter of Mohammed Yakub
Ali who works as a watchman in Pragathi Enclave apartment in Bhagyanagar colony of Kukatpally went to check the water level in the overhead tank.
According to police, Safiya went to the terrace on the instruction of her father to switch off the valve connected to water tanks on the roof. "When the girl did not come back even after an hour, the father and another person went to the terrace and found her body in the tanker," said a police officer.
Police registered a case for accidental death.
