Kodangal Assembly Election Results 2023 Live: Anumula Revanth Reddy of the Indian National Congress (INC) has secured victory over the incumbent MLA, Patnam Narender Reddy of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), with a substantial margin of 32,800 votes. Notably, in the 2018 elections, Revanth Reddy had faced a defeat to Narender Reddy in Kodangal by a margin of 9,319 votes.

Considered a strong contender for the position of chief minister, Revanth Reddy also held a leading position in the electoral race in Kamareddy against chief minister and BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Following his setback in the 2018 Assembly elections, Revanth Reddy sought redemption in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and successfully won from the Malkajgiri constituency. His political trajectory further advanced when he assumed the role of TPCC president in 2021.

The Telangana Assembly Elections 2023 took place on November 30, 2023, with 70.28% voter turnout. There were 35,655 polling stations set up across the state where voters cast their votes. The majority mark to form the government in Telangana is 60.

Kodangal assembly constituency is located in the Vikarabad district of Telangana. This constituency falls under the Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha constituency, making its electoral outcomes significant in shaping the political trajectory of the broader region.

In the 2018 elections, Patnam Narender Reddy from TRS won in Kodangal with 80,754 votes, making up 49.00% of the total votes. This clear victory showed that the people trusted him, giving him a significant lead over Anumula Revanth Reddy from INC, who got 71,435 votes, or 43.00%.

Back in the 2014 elections, Anumula Revanth Reddy, then with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), won with 54,026 votes, leading Gurunath Reddy of TRS by 14,614 votes. In 2009, also with the TDP, Revanth Reddy won with 61,685 votes, defeating Gurunath Reddy of INC by 6,989 votes.
