TIRUMALA: After a thumping victory for the
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the recent assembly elections, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s wife Shobha Rao along with Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao and several other family members on Monday arrived at Tirumala on Vaikunta Ekadasi to offer their thanksgiving prayers.
“TRS has won the confidence of the Telangana people and I am here to offer my humble thanks and prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala,” said Harish Rao.
KCR had donated Rs. 5 crore worth jewellery to Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala in February 2017 as part of fulfilment of his vow for achieving statehood for Telangana. The jewellery presented included a “Saligrama Haram” weighing 14.148 kg and a Kantabharanam weighing 4.92 kgs. Telangana was the first state government to make such an opulent donation to TTD.
