K T Rama Rao drops hints of early polls in state

HYDERABAD: Will the

TRS government

go in for early polls? Municipal administration minister K T Rama Rao dropped a hint that it just might.

Addressing a huge public meeting at

Jagtial district

on Monday, KTR said the party would win the next polls whether they are held in 2019 'or earlier'. During the Janahita Pragathi meeting, which was attended by Nizamabad MP K Kavitha and other party leaders, KTR called the people to wipe out Congress from the state.

Though KTR referred to possible early polls, it may be mentioned that chief minister

K Chandrasekhar Rao

had emphatically ruled out such a measure. At a recent press conference, KCR made it clear that polls are more than two years away and none of the welfare schemes that he has implemented were done with an eye on the elections.
