Judges get lessons on mediation to resolve all disputes amicably
Hyderabad: On the second day of the three-day session to raise awareness among judges on the importance of mediation over litigation, experts from Delhi high court explained the intricacies of the process while dealing with individuals caught in conflict.The legal services authorities of the state and Supreme Court have organised the orientation classes in a bid to tackle pendency by popularising mediation as a better way for quick resolution. The session is being held at Kanha Shanti Vanam at Chegur in Rangareddy district.On Tuesday, Justice Neena Bansal Krishna of the Delhi HC and master trainers from the national capital, Veena Ralli and JP Singh, took the judges through various phases of mediation. They were told about the precautions to be taken at every stage as the parties rely on mediators and explained how to tackle emotional outbursts.Telangana high court chief justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Justice P Naveen Rao.and all the judges of the high court took part in the deliberations.Commending the judges for their efforts to learn techniques of mediation to resolve disputes amicably, Kamlesh D Patel (Daaji), president of Sri Ram Chandra Mission, said that mediation, meditation and medication all come from the same roots. “Medication is to heal the body, meditation is to nourish the soul and mediation is to bring about right understanding,” he told the judges.“Heart is at the core of our mode of meditation and it aims to fill our mind and heart with divine light by driving out impurities from within our bodies,” he said.
