HYDERABAD: An employee of Navdurga Jewellers, who went absconding with 1,450 gm gold, was nabbed in Gulzar Houz on Thursday.
Deputy commissioner of police (Central Zone) Tarun Joshi in a press release said that P Pradeep Kumar and Rahul, both employees of Navdurga Jewellers, were given 22 diamond jewellery sets by their employer on July 30 for marketing them in various jewellery shops in Abids and Basheerbagh.
"Of these, 12 sets were given to Bajranglal Jewellers, Abids, and 10 to Satyanarayana Jewellers, Basheerbagh. At around 5.30 pm, the accused again went to those shops to recollect the pieces. After collecting them, Pradeep Kumar disappeared," Tarun Joshi said.
Police located Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Ramalingeshwara Colony, Kothapet, and subsequently came to know that he was about to sell the Rs 45 lakh jewellery in Gulzar Houz.
