Jagan cases: Telangana high court says trial will continue

The Telangana high court on Friday made it clear that all accused, except two IAS officers, in cases filed by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Indu Tech Zone, pharma companies SEZ, and India Cements part of YS Jaganmohan Reddy assets case, will have to face trial in designated ED court.

HYDERABAD: The Telangana high court on Friday made it clear that all accused, except two IAS officers, in cases filed by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Indu Tech Zone, pharma companies SEZ, and India Cements part of YS Jaganmohan Reddy assets case, will have to face trial in designated ED court.
Justice B Siva Sankara Rao was responding to a doubt expressed by the trial court judge, who sought clarity in taking forward the trial in respect of these cases, particularly in view of the HC judgments quashing the cases against two senior IAS officers, BP Acharya and Adityanath Das.

Meanwhile, YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy also sought sought exemption from appearing before the CBI court citing elections. The court allowed his application, and posted the case to next Friday.
