Inter results: Pass percentage up as 69% students clear second yr exam

Hyderabad: In a marginal improvement over 2023, 69.46% students from Telangana cleared their intermediate second year exams, the results for which were announced on Wednesday. Last year, the pass percentage stood at 67.27%. The performance of first year intermediate students, meanwhile, saw a dip as the pass percentage slipped from 62.85% to 61.06% this time around.

Collectively, about 6.1 lakh students of the 9.8 lakh who appeared for their intermediate exams, cleared the test conducted by Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE). The exam was held between February 28 and March 19 across 1,521 centres in Telangana.“This year’s performance has been good. A lot of students scored an A grade, which is 75% and above marks, in their exams. The number of those who scored a D grade is less,” said Burra Venkatesham, principal secretary for education, after releasing the results.Much like other years, this time too female students registered a higher pass percentage of 72.53% while only 56.10% of all male students managed to clear their second year inter exams. In terms of district-wise performance, Ranagreddy, Medchal and Mulugu stayed at the top of the charts with the majority of the students from these districts clearing the test, officials said. K Gopal, one of the top scoring students with 989/1000 marks in the Maths Physics and Chemistry (MPC) stream said that he only focused on JEE preparations and cracked the exam. "Honestly I studied for Intermediate only for a fortnight. Rest of my preparation was for JEE and owing to the syllabus being so similar I did well in intermediate as well," said the student. Another top scorer from the state, Lokeshwari Bhukya who secured 980/1000 in the Biology Physics Chemistry stream said her focus was on studying from previous years' question papers and strengthening her speed.

Intermediate student ends life in Mancherial district

Girls Lead in UP Board Results: High School Pass Percentage at 89.55%, Intermediate at 82.60%

UP Board announced high school and intermediate results from Prayagraj in record time. Girls outperformed boys with pass percentages of 89.55% for class 10 and 82.60% for class 12. Total 55,25,308 students registered. Director Mahendra Dev declared the results.
