Inspector booked for sexual exploitation, forced abortions
Hyderabad: Khammam II Town police registered a case against an inspector for allegedly sexually exploiting a woman who had approached the police station with a domestic harassment complaint. The inspector allegedly promised to marry the woman, sexually exploited her, and forced her to terminate her pregnancy using tablets.
In her complaint filed with Khammam II Town police on May 7, the woman alleged that the accused inspector sexually exploited her under the false promise of marriage. According to the complainant, she married a resident of a colony in Khammam town in 2005 and has two daughters from the marriage.
“A few months ago, my husband began harassing me mentally and physically over petty issues. Unable to bear the harassment, I approached the women’s police station in Khammam town in 2023,” she stated in her complaint.
The accused, who was an inspector at the police station, allegedly continued speaking with her under the pretext of investigation and later became intimate with her, promising marriage.
“On Feb 28, 2026, at around 6.30 pm, he came to my house in Khammam and had sexual intercourse with me. I became pregnant, and he administered pills to terminate the pregnancy. He sexually exploited me multiple times and forced me to terminate my pregnancy twice. Please initiate appropriate legal action against the accused,” the complainant alleged.
Based on her complaint, Khammam II town police registered a case under Sections 69 (sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means, etc.) and 88 (causing miscarriage) of the BNS on May 7.
