Hyderabad: A 23-year-old working as a catering officer with Indigo Airlines on Wednesday sustained severe injuries when his two-wheeler rammed into a car moving in the same direction on RGIA Rotary-1 road.
The victim, T Aneesh Reddy, was wearing a helmet on but it had not been strapped.
“Aneesh was on the way to the airport for work when the incident occurred. He was trying to speed up when the vehicle travelling in front of him suddenly applied the brakes. Unable to control his scooter, he rammed into the car’s rear. Due to the impact, his helmet came off and he sustained head injuries. He was rushed to a hospital,” said RGIA inspector P Vijay Kumar.
The victim is now said to be out of danger and case has been registered against the four-wheeler’s owner under section 337 of IPC.
