hyderabad: "through my films i want to tell the world that i am younger than the youngest director," veteran film director singeetam srinivasa rao said. the director who has more than 60 films to his credit, including films in hindi, telugu, tamil and kannada is participating in the 12th international children's film festival in hyderabad. his english film, little john is competing in the international competition category at the festival.
the film has been produced by media dreams limited, chennai. "i love to experiment and keep trying new concepts and ideas and this is what keeps me young at heart," rao said. the film little john is a light entertainer, in which hollywood actor bently mitchum (john mackenzie) comes in search of folklore and miracles in the temples of south india. john falls in love, gets turned into a midget and what follows is a tale of magic and miracles. the film has a lot of special effects and will be very appealing for children, rao said. the veteran director admits that he did not make the film aimed at children but was making an universal entertainment film. he said he was pleased that the film was chosen to compete in the international competition.
