No cheer for Delhi
New Delhi: For about an hour here on Friday morning, the Delhi players may have felt encouraged to believe that things were finally falling in place for them this Ranji Trophy season.
Delhi decided to bowl first, and Ishant Sharma got the team off to a great start against table-toppers Baroda by dismissing opener Kinit Patel in the third over. But for the rest of the day, it was all about Baroda opener Jyotsnil Singh and No. 3 batter Shashwat Rawat. They put on an unbeaten 199-run partnership.
