Police arrested supervisor S Rajesh and another staffer D Srinivas of C5 Infra following a complaint from I-T inspector of Karimnagar, D Lingam, who led a team of raid party to Medaram. In his complaint, Lingam said: “I along with income-tax officer D Venugopal Rao and two notice serving officers were enquiring about the operations and duties of K Harish, an accountant of C5 Infra, at Medaram as part of the ongoing searches in the case against C5 Infra. While we were enquiring, Rajesh and Srinivas came out of nowhere and attacked us. They threatened to kill us.”

Lingam said the duo attacked Venugopal Rao on his head with a big stone. “He sustained bleeding injuries and fell almost unconscious. When we tried to escape from there, the duo again attacked us with stones and sticks. One of them beat me up with a stick. We ran away from the spot and rushed to the police station,” the I-T inspector said.
