HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old software engineer sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out in the bedroom of his house in on Monday morning. An electric short circuit is suspected to have led to the fire mishap. The injured was identified as Pranav.According to officials, at around 8:55 am, the fire control room received an alert about the fire at a house in New Maruti Nagar of Chaitanyapuri. "Fire tenders from LB Nagar and Hayathnagar stations rushed to the spot. The fire emanated from a refrigerator in the bedroom and spread to the adjoining bed and mattresses. One family member sleeping on the bed sustained facial burns. The flames were doused immediately," LB Nagar station fire officer P Sridhar said. Pranav, who was fast asleep at the time, suffered burns on his face.
